A catch-all mailbox receives emails sent to non-existent email addresses under the very same domain name. For instance, an email message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can receive messages from partners or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Only one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain point you may begin receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation implies that the spam will not be redirected to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

shared hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all feature for any email mailbox that you set up under the domain name. The Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section offers quite a lot of functions, but it’s astonishingly easy to use, so setting up a catch-all mailbox takes just one click. All the email addresses that you have created will be shown in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll only need to click on the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the given email address. Our system will alert you if there is already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or choose some other mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all option is just as easy and requires yet another mouse click on the same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
The custom Hepsia Control Panel that comes with each and every
semi-dedicated server plan that we’re offering will permit you to create a catch-all mailbox without any difficulties even if you do not have much email/web hosting experience. All it takes to do that is to click the catch-all icon, which will be next to each email address that you’ve created with your domain names in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have only one single mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will warn you if you have already configured another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you want to use has email forwarding enabled. In case you reach the decision that you don’t want the feature anymore, you can disable it by clicking again on the very same icon. The Email Manager will also allow you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
